First Snow of the Season

Snow has arrived at American Alps Ranch! 

Only a dusting of a couple of inches last night but a harbinger of things to come? Snow is beautiful in the trees and mountains surrounding us, but it does make taking care of the cattle a bit more difficult.  The grass is mostly gone now and we are feeding hay.

I'm sure by the end of winter I will be complaining but for now I'm going to sit back and enjoy the beautiful snow scenery - from inside my warm, cozy house.
