The new calves are on the ground for this season and they are all healthy, lively and curious. One of my favorite things about raising cattle is seeing the new calves born every year.
Another product of spring is new, fresh grass for the herd. We feed local grass hay during the cold winter months to our grass fed beef herd and it is always nice to have the pastures come back to life and move the cattle on to fresh grass.
These yearlings will be grazing on fresh grass all summer. No hormones, antibiotics or grains - just fresh grass and lots of it!
