Half a beef is just that - one half of a beef; sometimes referred to as a "side" of beef. A half a beef averages 225 pounds Hanging Weight of our delicious, healthy grass fed meat. It is cut, shrink wrapped and frozen at our local USDA inspected butcher shop and ready for your family to enjoy. Your meat will be good in your freezer for up to two years. We box the beef in quarters to make it easy to share with family and friends.
Each animal's size will vary (+/- 50 pounds), but Half a Beef typically includes an assortment of these cuts:

Local delivery is available monthly at central designated locations in the greater Seattle, Washington area.
Our price is based on the hanging weight of the carcass before it is processed into the individual cuts. Our USDA processor weighs the carcass by the half. We pay the processing fees based on this weight and price the beef by this same weight. The price of $1,505.25 is an estimate. When the USDA official Hanging Weight of the animal is reported to us, we will send you a final billing via PayPal with the exact price.
